Uraninite being loaded

El Sherana yielded the largest single piece of Uraninite ever produced in the world. It weighed 850 kilograms (1,856 pounds). It was recovered at the El Sherana mine in May 1956. The specimen was purchased by the Australian Atomic Energy Commission for exhibition in Sydney.
