Pale violet fluorite octahedron from the Arnsdorf granite quarries, Königshainer Berge near Görlitz, Oberlausitz, Saxony. Although fluorites often occur in granite deposits (think of Strzegom/Poland), at this very location fluorite is a rarity. In the literature you´ll find marginal notes concerning little green or violet aggregates - not as good as the famous smoky quartzes from here. The shown crystal is part of a find some couple of years ago which developed a few single crystals and two or three matrix samples. Most of them were bought by the Bergakademie Freiberg.
