Andradite
Huanggangliang Iron Mine, Kèshíkèténg Qí, Chifeng, Inner Mongolia A.R., China
106 x 67 x 26 mm
This unusual specimen consists of an early generation of lustrous olive green Andradite crystals to 11 mm partly covered by a thin secondary
growth of golden Andradite. It is in pristine condition and was the finest piece I saw in Tuscon in 2012. (Author: GneissWare)
