Rhodochrosite with Fluorite Uchucchacua Mine, Oyon Province, Lima Department, Peru 8.8 x 6.7 x 5 cm A recent addition found at a mineral show in Brainerd, Minnesota (USA). The rhodochrosites reach 1 cm (most are smaller) and many are doubly-terminated. Small colorless fluorite cubes (to 1 mm) can be seen on close examination. (Author: Tim Blackwood)

Wulfenite Red Cloud Mine, Silver District, Trigo Mts, La Paz Co., Arizona, USA 8.6 x 5.4 x 4.6 cm This specimen was collected during mining by Wayne Thompson in 1993. It features thick, lustrous, translucent, rich red-orange crystals to 1.5 cm on gossan matrix. Particulate matter present in the solutions from which the crystals formed has resulted in some of the crystals having a brownish center. Ex. James Webb Collection, of Houston, Texas, USA.
